Customer Technical SpecialistBiostimulants & Mineral amendments

I spent a year as a Customer Technical Specialist at DND Biotech / Zeocel Italia, where I managed daily technical support for growers, agronomists, and distributors across a wide range of crops and field conditions. Each call required rapid diagnosis of agronomic issues and the ability to translate complex situations into clear, actionable recommendations.By combining strong technical knowledge with a practical approach, I consistently provided tailored guidance on product selection, timing, application methods, and expected outcomes. These interactions not only strengthened customer confidence and decision-making, but also directly increased product adoption and sales performance across our portfolio.

Technical consultancy
across full product portfolio

I managed approximately 100+ technical consultations across a portfolio of 11 products — zeolites (soil and foliar applications), kaolins and soft soaps. For each situation, I designed a tailored intervention plan: which products to use, in which sequence, at what timing, and which combinations were compatible or required a gap between applications.Every recommendation was grounded in the scientific literature and in plant physiology, pathology and product datasheets.

Crop coverage & client diversity

Consultations covered a wide range of crops — with a strong focus on olive and grapevine, alongside general horticulture. My interlocutors ranged from home gardeners and retired growers to professional agronomists and large agricultural companies, and I adapted both language and depth of content accordingly.Translating the same product mechanism for a winery's technical team and for a small private grower are genuinely different challenges — and ones I found genuinely rewarding.

Biostimulants & regulatory knowledge

I have solid working knowledge of EU Regulation 2019/1009 on plant nutrition products, including the regulatory definition of biostimulants, their expected modes of action, and how they sit within a broader crop management programme. This background allowed me to discuss product positioning clearly and accurately, both with technically sophisticated clients and with those approaching the topic for the first time.

Utrisha® N on olive
three seasons of applied trials

As part of my collaboration with Corteva Agriscience, I worked for 3 years on field and greenhouse trials of Utrisha®N on olive — a crop with a particularly challenging leaf morphology for foliar applications. Over that period I developed detailed practical knowledge of application timing, dosage, and the expected effects on vegetative development, flowering and oil production — knowledge I can translate directly into field-level guidance.
